"Imagine if we reacted to the financial crisis in the same way as the climate crisis, with global meetings deferred for years at a time.
"Perhaps if the planet were a merchant bank, we might see the speedy, internationally coordinated and massive government activity we saw during the financial crisis. Keeping Australia out of recession and avoiding double digit unemployment is of course the right thing to do.
